Day 1 (of Leg 2) - Back on the Road

We left Pasadena, MD and headed due east to visit our friend Hubs (name changed) who lives near Rehoboth Beach, DE. About half way through the 3 hour trek, our brakes began overheating, which meant they were still dragging, despite the three attempts of adjustments in the prior two days. I adjusted them the next day, and they are no longer dragging. We spent two nights in Rehoboth, and caught up while playing some games. We met some new people, and checked out a few more breweries - namely, Revelation Brewing Company and Crooked Hammock Brewing. Revelation had better beer, but Crooked Hammock had the better (larger) setup.
We left Sunday morning, and headed south towards VA and NC. We did our first propane fill-up en route, near Berlin, MD outside of Ocean City, MD. I was surprised at how cheap it was to fill up 50 lbs of propane, which was a nice surprise. They advised we look into purchasing a new tank, as ours is a bit rusty, but not too bad. Still no leaks are present. We pressed on farther south for another 4 hours or so. We stayed right on the border between VA and NC, at North Landing Campground. The site was quite nice, however everything we wanted to enjoy was closed, including the nice mini-golf court, billiard room, and arcade. It seemed fairly absurd that everything was closed before 5pm, despite no hours listed at the campground or on their website for these services we thought we were paying for. We walked around the empty campground, and checked out the beach. It was a bit chilly, but the skies were clear. We enjoyed some time on the swing set, and then headed home to watch a movie.
We left the next morning around noon, and hit the local walmart for supplies. I followed my dad's advice and bled the brakes again, and the pedal seems a bit firmer now. We then drove for about 5 hours to our friend Neil's house in Carborro, NC, and arrived around 8:20pm. We caught a bite to eat downtown together, and then watched Divergent at home while he went to sleep. Not bad for a Monday. The work week is short due to Thanksgiving, which means each day is fairly busy, but we managed.
We're starting planning for our trip south. From here, we plan to hit Black Mountain, NC to visit a friend for a free place to stay and to catch up, then to Ashville, NC, and on to Boone, NC. We may venture into TN briefly, before heading back east towards Georgia, and then down to FL around mid December.
